Empties | January 2021

If there’s a type of post I love reading from fellow beauty bloggers it’s the empties posts. I love seeing what products people have managed to use up that month and what they would and wouldn’t repurchase. I’ve decided to give it a go and see what I can finish every month, and I’m hoping that it will encourage me to use up my products too. So what have I been using and what will I repurchase?? Let’s take a little look.

Empties August 2020

If there’s a type of post I love reading from fellow beauty bloggers it’s the empties posts. I’ve decided to give it a go and see what I can finish every month, and I’m hoping that it will encourage me to use up my products too. I haven’t used many products for my first month. So what have I been using and what will I repurchase?? Let’s take a little look.

Review | Wild Refillable Deodorant // AD

~*This post contains gifted products*~

Natural deodorants that are also sustainable and help reduce your plastic waste, for me is one of those products I’ve been struggling with. Throughout my journey so far I’ve found loads of different types of natural deodorants some in glass bottles but the majority that I’ve tried have been in plastic bottles and when you’re trying to cut down your plastic usage in your home it kind of becomes a bit of an issue if you think about how many you may go through a year.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve found some amazing natural deodorants that do work and that I would buy again, but nothing that ticks all the boxes. Then along came *Wild Natural Deodorants.

Review | Lavera Freshness & Balance Shampoo // AD

~*This post contains gifted products*~

I’ve always been a bit of an oily haired girl and dry shampoo quickly became my best friend. I used to wash my hair every day but as I got older I learned that the more I wash my hair the greasier it would get so I try to only wash my hair once or twice a week my limit is three times. I know that sounds rather disgusting to some people but it’s something that works for me and lets me get at least a day out of my hair before I need to dry shampoo it.

I’ve tried everything to help with my oily hair and I’ll be honest nothing has really worked for me. *Lavera Natural Cosmetics recently reformulated their haircare range and reached out to me to ask if I’d like to give their new shampoo a try for oily hair. As I’m a massive Lavera fan and have tried so many of their gorgeous skincare products I, of course, said yes.

Green Beauty | 20 in 2020 Project Pan Introduction

~*This post contains gifted products*~

This is actually a first of its kind, sort of post for me. I’ll be honest I’ve never really felt like I’ve had to work through some products because I’m usually pretty good at using them up. However, over the last year or so I seem to have collected quite a lot of skincare and makeup products and I’ve not had any sort of motivation to finish them, instead getting a little bored and opening another product.

Buying new makeup and skincare is great, but is there anything more satisfying than emptying products or making a huge dent to hit that pan on your eyeshadow palette? I don’t think so. I have loads of open products that just don’t seem to be finishing and I’ve always been one of those people that always finished something before opening something new.

Review | Butterwhips Planted Feet Balm // AD

~*This post contains gifted products*~

I first heard of *Butterwhips when I received a travel size pot of their warmly relaxing body butter in one of my monthly beauty subscription boxes and after using it, I just absolutely fell in love with and I have since bought a few of their other products including ones for the baby and they are just lovely and have really subtle scents to them. I love that they are palm oil free too. I was over the moon when I was sent the Planted Feet Balm to try.

Who are Butterwhips??

As a family they suffer with dry sensitive skin, eczema and dermatitis and since 2011 Victoria has been looking for alternatives to the usual creams and lotions either store bought or provided on prescription. Those ointments tended to be very greasy and didn’t smell great!
She wanted to create a relief to skin ailments that could be made from 100% natural ingredients and smelt good too, starting with a course in aromatherapy to better understand the effects of certain essential oils on the skin and the senses.
She needed to make sure she chose a base that was gently moisturising as well as smelling fab and with the help of a laboratory near the heart of England, she was able to adjust their first product, developed for their own use at home, to a formulation that met her family’s needs AND the most stringent regulatory requirements, continuing to meet her company’s core principles:

100% Natural
Kind to skin
Cruelty Free
No fillers

Butterwhips are made with only 100% natural plant extracts, no water, fillers or synthetic additives, any long names you see on their labels are either the Latin names of the plants or compounds that occur naturally in their extracts. The best part of their ingredients list is the fact that Love is the last named ingredient because that’s exactly what is put into each and every jar of these fantastic products.
