My Post Baby Weightloss Journey

I’m not sure why I’m writing this post as yet because looking at the pics I’ve taken of myself I’ve never felt more ashamed of how I look. I’m usually the type of person that is happy in her skin but since having Arlo I’ve noticed that my weight has started to creep up again. I also like to think I’m quite an active person with walking everywhere and keeping in good health but I’ll be honest, it’s completely gone out of the window. I’m eating crap but I am cutting out the caffeine.

Seeing these pics has been a massive kick up the arse for me and I can’t keep living like this. I still breastfeed Arlo and because of the change in my diet I’ve noticed a change in his sleeping patterns, my sleeping patterns have changed also. I just feel like I’m losing myself and very unhappy with my body at the moment. Thankfully, I have some time to do something about it while we’re all at home. This is quite a personal post for me but I want to be able to share my successes and failures with you.

Being short whenever I do gain weight you can notice it a mile off! It’s not just weight loss that I’m looking for, I want to get myself fit and back into old eating habits. I’m also in a long term relationship but it doesn’t mean that I should no longer make an effort for the man in my life. I know I’ve let myself go so much lately and he loves me as I am, but let’s face it, ladies, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be lusted after by your partner now is there??

I realise my photos aren’t the most flattering but that’s the point, isn’t it?? It’s me in all my glory at the moment and it doesn’t look healthy, does it?? I don’t own any scales and I’ve not been able to weigh myself but let’s just face it, I’m overweight for my height, I’m not looking for a quick fix but something that I can keep up and stick too. I’m going from barely exercising to making sure I do something every day so I don’t want to push myself too far. I’ll be easing myself in and want to be able to stick to an exercise routine I can do when I’m where I want to be. If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll be able to see what exercises I’m doing on my stories every day.  My health and fitness levels are really important because I’d love to have my last baby.

This is the start of my journey, will you be joining me??

Firstly, I think you are amazing for even having the confidence to share this. Secondly, you have a far better figure than me and I’m 24 and only had one kid. Honestly, you look fab to me but I know that I can only say so much and you have to feel happy in your own skin so good luck with your journey 🙂

Thank you for saying this Ash, I appreciate it so much. It’s all about the being more healthy and fit side for me however if I lost some of the mum tum too that would be a bonus. I was so worried about sharing this at first but so glad I did xxx
