Pregnancy | 28 Week Bumpdate

Hello Third Trimester!! I’m finally on the home stretch and into the last 3 months of my pregnancy.

I’m also really pleased that you’re enjoying my little Bumpdates and following my journey and I’ve really enjoyed recording it this way. So what’s been going on this week?? Let’s jump right into it!

How far along?? 28 Weeks.

Maternity Clothes?? Still in need of some good maternity jeans and a good maternity winter coat and maybe some leggings since my bump keeps growing!!

Sleep: I’m so tired, I’ve not been sleeping well at all for the past 2 weeks, I think I’m getting at most around 3 hours as I’m just so uncomfortable.

Miss Anything?? Just the same old sleep.

Movement: Feeling him all the more now which is great and you can see my belly moving now when he does and the munchkin loves it.

Gender: Most definitely a boy.

Cravings: No cravings at all!!

Labour Signs: Nope!!

Symptoms: Lots of lower back pain and pain around my pelvis which is from the growing, I think. I’m feeling very heavy and achy too so not quite sure if it’s because baby sits so low or because my bump may need a little extra support.

Belly Button In or Out?? It’s completely popped out now.

Mood: Just really tired and still trying to carry on and be positive about the whole experience, I still have work and housework to do so I’m just trucking on.

Best Moment This Week: Seeing his face on the 3D scan and having the munchkin experience it too.

Looking Forward To: Getting the bedroom finished. We’re a little behind due to having a few things crop up like the OH’s car breaking down and us now trying to find a new one.

I also had my 28 week check at the midwife this week and we got booked into the hospital for a growth scan as he is measuring big. The hospital are happy baby is growing fine, my fluid is normal and thankfully my placenta is not in the way of my cervix. I’ve got a follow up in 3 weeks time just to make sure they’re happy with the results.

I hope you all have a fab weekend and can’t wait to hear what your all up to this week.

Lots of Love

Pregnancy | 26 Week Bumpdate

Wow, Week 26, I can’t believe it. The third and final trimester is creeping up on us and will soon be here.

I’m also really pleased that you’re enjoying my little Bumpdates and following my journey and I’ve really enjoyed recording it this way. So what’s been going on this week?? Let’s jump right into it!

How far along?? 26 Weeks.

Maternity Clothes?? Still in need of some good maternity jeans and a good maternity winter coat!!

Sleep: Still not sleeping well, but i suppose I’d better get used to this feeling for when baby arrives.

Miss Anything?? YES!!!! Coffee and SLEEP!!

Movement: Finally starting to see a pattern and he doesn’t sleep much at all! You can start seeing him move now and the munchkin loves having a little feel of him kicking. He’s been waiting so patiently for this.

Gender: Boy.

Cravings: No cravings at all!!

Labour Signs: Nope!!

Symptoms: A bit of back pain, lack of sleep and having the odd cramp in my leg now and again but apart from that I’m ok.

Belly Button In or Out?? Depends on if this boy sits behind it, I’ve noticed he likes to hide there so some days it’s out and some days it’s in!!

Mood: Still really tired but happy.

Best Moment This Week: Feeling the little one moving and kicking that little bit more.

Looking Forward To: Getting the boys room decorated so i can get myself organised and ready to buy what we need.

I hope you all have a fab weekend and can’t wait to hear what your all up to this week.

Review | Bespoke Aroma Relaxing Bath Tea Infusion & Refreshing Facial Mist

I’m reviewing 2 products today and I absolutely loved them both. They were both from the August Quench & Glow Edition of The Natural Beauty Box.

I’ll start with this lovely Relaxing bath tea infusion, I have to admit I’ve used a bath tea before but not quite like this. I’d never heard of the brand before so as always I’m keen to try things out.

When you open the box the scent instantly hits you and it’s so nice. It comes in a little resealable plastic bag, which can also be reused (but is a little disappointing when I’m trying to reduce my plastic waste and usage.

It’s full of gorgeous ingredients like:

Lavender Flowers – These are used for relaxation and the relief of anxiety and stress.

Chamomile Flowers – These help to calm and soothe so you can relax and unwind.

Marjoram Leaves – comforting and warming, marjoram has been shown to help ease headaches, migraines and insomnia

Mandarin Powder – a natural sedative, mandarin is also rich in vitamin C, which improves skin texture, and antioxidants which help to fight off free radicals which are the cause of wrinkles and sagging skin.

Oatmeal – used as early as 2000 BC by the Egyptians to beautify their skin. Oats contain polysaccharides which form a fine protective film when applied to skin which helps to prevent moisture loss.

Dead Sea Salts – These salts contain high levels of magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides which help to slow skin ageing, increase circulation to the skin, balance skin moisture and ease muscle stiffness.

Ylang Ylang essential oil – this oil has a calming effect on the mind and body.

Benzoin essential oil – this oil calms the nervous system and has a very relaxing effect.

It comes in this really cute muslin bag which you simply pop into your bath whilst it’s running so that it can infuse with the water. Even the munchkin couldn’t resist sharing my bath. It makes you feel so relaxed afterwards and your skin even feels really soft and smooth to touch. I love products like this and definitely want to try more of their products.

They also have Hard Working Bodies Bath Tea Infusion which is perfect for easing aching sore muscles.

Moisture Shot Bath Tea infusion which is great for nurturing dry skin.

Skin Tonic Bath Tea Infusion which is great for slowing the signs of ageing.

You can buy this wonderful bath tea from Bespoke Aroma for £4.95.

The second Bespoke Aroma product is this gorgeous Refreshing Facial Mist which is made from 100% Natural blend of Peppermint Essential Oil and Organic Peppermint Water.

I absolutely loved using this, even though it’s only 30ml you get a lot of product in it. It’s fantastic as a little early morning pick me up when you’ve had a wash.

Pop it in the fridge and it’s great for cooling down your skin on those warm days or just use it throughout the day to give yourself a little bit of an extra moisture boost.

I could not get enough of this and will definitely be buying this again and popping a bottle in my hospital bag for when I go into labour. It only costs £4.25 as well.

Have you tried any Bespoke Aroma products?? Which ones?? What did you think??

Pregnancy | Week 22 Bumpdate

I’ve decided I’m going to be doing my Bumpdates slightly different, rather than sharing every week I’ll share every 2 weeks and I’ll add in more information about myself and how I’m feeling and cravings, etc.

Can you believe I’m 22 weeks?? Wow, I’m just past the half way mark and feel like I’ve been pregnant forever already!! I know as soon as Christmas comes we really won’t have long left. I’m really starting to get excited and of course I’m starting to buy things for him.

Bumpdate | 18-20 Weeks & Gender Reveal

I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through this pregnancy!! The second trimester is going a bit better so far and we get to find out if we’re having a boy or a girl soon!! I’m so excited!

WEEK 18:
Wow, I feel really heavy this week!! Baby, is sitting so low and it’s slightly uncomfortable, especially when I sit down. I have a definite bump now and have people commenting on how big I am, I do feel HUGE and really uncomfortable at night. I’m having difficulty sleeping so I think I may need to get myself a pregnancy pillow to see if it helps. I go for my scan the day after my birthday so only a couple more weeks to wait!!

WEEK 19:
I’m still feeling really heavy and carrying really low, I’m not feeling as tired so hoping that i start getting a lot of my energy back soon over the next few weeks. I’ve been blitzing a room at a time in the house and going through this nesting phase and now want to be rid of just about EVERYTHING!!! I’ve started to get the dreaded heartburn in bouts and I suffered really badly with Mason from this so I’m no longer thinking you could be a girl and have a feeling that I’ll be having another boy. I just want to find out so I can start buying. And the back ache, my god it’s so uncomfortable. I have to keep myself active to ease it off.

WEEK 20:
ITS A BOY!!!!!
We had our scan yesterday and it’s been quite an emotional week for me so far. I was in the scan room for an hour because he just wouldn’t play ball and was being awkward and just putting himself in the most awkward of positions but we got through it and all is well, he’s healthy and growing nicely, nice strong heartbeat and no abnormalities.

I can’t believe I’m having another son. I cried a little when the lovely sonographer told me. It was mixed emotions, happy that he was healthy, happy he was a boy, relief that we don’t have to panic about fitting all the kids into our 3 bedroom house and of course I was upset that the OH didn’t get the girl he desperately wanted. But we’re all happy and Mason & Jake are over the moon. We also found out that I have an anterior placenta which means it’s at the front so feeling movements have been restricted but from weeks 26-28 I should start feeling them more prominently. So this was a massive weight off too.

Now to do some shopping and start getting myself organised and get what I’ll need for the baby.
