Book Review | As The Stars Fall By Steve N. Lee

I was very kindly asked if I’d like to receive a copy of the fantastic Steve N. Lee’s new novel *As The Stars Fall to review and of course I said yes! I’m usually a crime/thriller type of girl but I will reach for other genres occasionally depending on my mood and the story. This was actually the first book I’ve ever read from this author and I’m so pleased to have found someone new to read. I’ll definitely be looking at getting more of his books to read.

The Blurb:

A desperate dog. A scarred girl. A bond nothing can break.

When a young girl suffering with her own tragedy comes across an injured young dog, she can’t resist helping him. Both having braved the worst the world had to throw at them, the pair quickly form an unbreakable bond. They picture their future as an endless stream of adventures filled with love, laughter, and good times.

But life has one last cruel trick to play…

At one moment heart-warming, the next heart-breaking, this is the story of a devoted dog’s rollercoaster journey to be the one thing every good dog dreams of being — a best friend. Through a touching tale, As The Stars Fall explores how compassion can make us whole again and friendship can heal even the most broken of hearts.

Book Review | A Dog’s Purpose By W. Bruce Cameron

I made a goal last year of reading just one book a month and I have to say I’ve started a couple but haven’t had much time to sit and read but then I picked up the book I’m reviewing today and couldn’t put it down. I’ve missed reading and I have so many books I’ve bought over the past couple of years that I haven’t even read and I want to try and get through some of them by the end of the year.

The Blurb:

Surprised to find himself reborn as a rambunctious golden-haired puppy after a tragically short life as a stray mutt, Bailey’s search for his new life’s meaning leads him into the loving arms of eight-year-old Ethan. During their countless adventures, Bailey joyously discovers how to be a good dog. But this life as a family pet is not the end of Bailey’s journey. Reborn as a puppy yet again, Bailey wonders if he will ever find his purpose.

I bought myself this book after seeing the trailer to the movie. I’m one of those people if there’s a movie based on a book I’ll always read the book first before seeing the movie. I enjoyed this book, it only took me a couple of days to read. I couldn’t put it down. I like W.Bruce Cameron and his writing, you may recognise his 8 simple rules for dating my teenage daughter which was turned into a hit TV show.

My Little Box of Samples

Over the last few months, I have again somehow managed to accumulate far too many samples, so, I’ve decided to put all of these in one of my empty boxes I had lying around that is big enough to fit them all in and so I know where to find them. I plan on reviewing one of the products from the box each week. This will range from skincare to makeup and even haircare, so pretty much anything. I’m a firm believer in samples and they play a big part in my beauty life as they can give you an idea of whether you will actually like a product or not before you purchase the full-sized product which could leave you out of pocket and unhappy. It’s happened to me plenty of times before over the years and that why I love samples.

Review | Virtue Natural Energy Drinks // AD

~*This post contains gifted products*~

I’ve been following *Virtue drinks on Twitter and Instagram for quite some time now and even tried a couple of their sparkling energy waters, which are really tasty if you’ve never tried them. So, when they reached out and asked if I’d like to try their new natural energy drink Yerba Mate I jumped and the chance. I sometimes need a little boost on days where I’ve had no sleep and I’m not a massive fan of energy drinks because of all the sugars that they have in them.

Review | Dietbon Diet Meals Delivered UK // AD

~*This post contains gifted products*~

Lately I’ve found myself looking at diet and fitness blogs and Instagram profiles just because it’s something I’ve always struggled with and more so now after the birth of Arlo. For me it’s not about losing weight because that’s the last thing on my mind, it’s about reaching for the right foods and making proper meals because I have literally just been snacking on pure rubbish and eating take outs and I feel awful, especially because I’m breastfeeding and I should be more conscious of what I’m putting in my body. When the lovely lady at *Dietbon approached me and asked if I’d like to try a weeks worth of diet meals delivered uk I jumped at the chance.

Review | Resuaboo Bamboo Coffee Cup // AD

~*This post contains gifted products*~

Being a mum to 3 boys and just living in a house full of boys in general is hard work and I can’t live without my morning coffee, the dream baby has been teething and his tooth has started to cut through the gum so he’s not been sleeping and I think he’s having a bit of a leap as he’s almost crawling so that hasn’t really helped the sleeping either as he’s been waking himself up either on his front trying to crawl or screaming in pain because of his teeth. Let me introduce to you my new Eco-Friendly best friend the *Reusaboo Bamboo Coffee Cup.

Those of you that know me, know that I never leave home without a reusable coffee cup, because it not only saves on creating waste (and saves me £££’s), it keeps me topped up with caffeine too for those really long and tiring days when I need it. I’m trying to cut down my single use plastic waste, and this was the first time I’ve actually used a bamboo coffee cup and I have to say that it was so worth the swap. I’ve seen them around and had been dying to try one but never really knew if it would be worth it.
