This week I’ve been trying out this body oil from Bodhi & Birch. Even though I’ve heard of the brand and seen it around, this is actually the first time I’ve tried something of theirs.
Who are Bodhi & Birch??
Bodhi & Birch is an independent, eco-luxury skincare brand, established in the UK since 2010 and has since grown to be a brand well known for it’s natural organic skincare and wellbeing. They create 24/7 antidotes to modern life – sensory bath, body and skin care to awaken the skin and enlighten your senses.
Founded by Elijah Choo, who originally created the products on his kitchen table, his creations draw inspiration from the healing power of nature and traditional botanical remedies, bringing together Eastern and Western skincare and wellbeing philosophies. The range of skincare, body care and wellbeing harnesses the benefits of natural and organic ingredients to deliver products that are kind to your skin and our planet, and yet delivers a luxurious premium feel. Each product is lovingly blended to harness the finest materials nature has to offer and each ingredient is ethically sourced from sustainable origins.
Proudly made in England, the award-winning products have become cult favourites recommended by key beauty insiders, championed by top make-up artists and loved by celebrities the world over.
I really like the packaging, it’s so simple and clean and you can read everything that’s on there, I absolutely love the size of the bottle, there’s just enough product to try before you buy. The scent is really intoxicating and I really like it however I do think that this would be more suited for the OH as it smells much more masculine. It applies really easily and absorbs into skin really well but my favourite thing to do with body oils is to pop them into a bath so your skin is super soft when you get out. I love the high quality of the oils used in this.
Organic Camellia Oil
A nutritive oil said to be the treasured secret of geishas, Camellia Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the tea plant. A rich source of Omega 3, 6 and 9 EFAs plus Vitamin E and polyphenols, this feather-light oil deeply moisturises to leave skin beautifully soft and radiant.
Organic Avocado Oil
High in Oleic Acid (Omega 9), Vitamins A, E and D plus plant sterols, Avocado Oil has an extraordinary transepidermal penetration capacity to nourish and moisturise the different skin layers to maintain its barrier function.
Organic Apricot Kernel Oil
An excellent source of Gamma Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) providing superb skin firming and toning qualities. It is naturally rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B17 and E making it a soothing and nourishing oil to retain skin elasticity, clarity, and suppleness.
Organic Tamanu Oil
Indigenous to Southeast Asia and Pacific, Tamanu Oil is a remarkable skin regenerator with anti-inflammatory properties. It has the ability to promote healthy, blemish-free skin while providing antimicrobial protection.
Hyacinth & Ginger
A heady blend of exotic florals featuring the sweet green aroma of Hyacinth to relief tension and calm the senses. Its unique scent fluidity changes with the skin PH. This is rounded off with a hint of the unexpected in the form of Ginger and Blue Tansy.
I really liked this body oil and it comes in 2 other scents there’s Nordic White & Sicilian Rose. It left my skin feeling really soft and smooth and really healthy. It absorbs into the skin nicely and the scent just takes you on a journey leaving you feeling refreshed and smelling good. This worked better when applied to damp skin so it can lock in the moisture, and it didn’t leave any greasy residue. The full size 100ml bottle retails at £42 but for something so luxurious it’s worth the price, as you don’t need to apply too much product either. You can also buy all 3 scents in a mini gift set so you can give them all a try. I really want to give the other 2 body oils a try so I can see which one I like best, so I think I’ll be buying the mini gift set and I’d like to get the OH to try this body oil as I know he’d enjoy it in a bath. I think you could use this body oil for more than just your body…..I wonder what it’d be like used as a hair treatment, I might have to give it a go as it’s full of so many wonderful ingredients I think it’d make your hair feel amazing and give it a little boost.
Have you tried any of the Bodhi & Birch body oils?? What did you think??
