Review | Botanicals Gentle Cleanse Melt // AD

~*This post contains gifted products*~

Botanicals are a brand that I hadn’t really heard of before but I had seen the odd blogger rave about their products on social media and on their blogs so was really intrigued by the brand so me being me I went off and had a little look at their product ranges. They have some fantastic products and I’ve already added a few of those onto my wish list.

They currently have two Cleanse Melts available, Nourish Cleanse Melt and Gentle Cleanse Melt, and two Cream Cleansers available, Nourish Cream Cleanser and Gentle Cream Cleanser. I was sent the lovely *Gentle Cleanse Melt to try which is ideal for Sensitive Skin babes and Combination Skin babes (like myself). Botanicals cleansers are designed to gently sweep away make-up impurities from the skin, leaving the face feeling soft and refreshed, without it stripping the skin of it’s natural oils. The Nourish range is for you lovely dry/mature skin ladies and The Gentle range is for sensitive, combination skin ladies but could also work on you oily skin ladies too. They are not only suitable for Vegans but they are also Certified Organic by the Soil Association.

To Use

Remove a pea sized amount from the jar and melt between your finger tips. Massage gently into your skin using circular movements. Remove with a warm, damp organic face cloth.

The Review

I’ve been using this cleanser every morning and every evening now for over a month and I absolutely love it. The scent is so subtle and really pleasant smelling, it’s scent of Chamomile, Marigold and hint of Lavender, is just so fresh and relaxing and perfect for after a long day. It comes in a lovely amber glass jar with a plastic lid, this looks so good sat on my bathroom shelf. It’s easy to open and store, as well as being able to get as much cleanser as I need each time I use it. As you know I’ve been trying to give balm cleansers the benefit of the doubt as there have been a few I haven’t gotten on with but this one has just made me realise just how nice they can be. This is so easy to use and it melts to a really nice oil that can be massaged into the skin easily. You really don’t need a lot of product and I’ve still got an awful lot of product left in the jar. A 60g size jar that retails for £26 could last you at least 3 months if not longer and the 100g size jar that retails at £50 could last you well over 6 months which is amazing value.

It gives a really deep clean too and literally melts away make up. I really like to give my face a good massage with it for around 5 minutes and it leaves my skin feeling like it’s had a really deep clean and fresh. It’s so hydrating too I found I didn’t need much toner or moisturiser on afterwards especially in the mornings. It really is such a gorgeous gentle cleanser and I really recommend it. You can use your warm damp muslin to wipe away the impurities of the day from your skin. If you’re having a heavy makeup day feel free to use your organic cotton pads (or even your reusable makeup remover pads, which are more eco-friendly). I just use my bamboo muslin. I don’t use my fingers to get the product out of the jar either for hygiene purposes, I use just a bamboo lollipop stick to scoop out the right amount. I do have quite good skin now since switching to much more natural products, but my skin hasn’t been behaving due to the crazy weather but within days of using this I noticed such a big difference. My skin has not only started to behave again but it feels so much softer and hydrated, my pores don’t feel as clogged and I certainly haven’t had many breakouts and I absolutely enjoy giving my face a good cleanse at the end of the day. I most definitely will repurchase this Gentle Cleanse Melt.

Have you tried this cleanser?? What did you think?? What Botanicals product should I try next??
