It’s the last Sample Sunday post of November!! I can’t believe not only is Christmas looming but we’re coming to the end of the year!! Where has the time gone??
This week I tried out a face mask from the lovely brand Skin & Tonic London. I have tried and I do have a couple of their products but I hadn’t tried this little mask out. I received this in my The Cruelty Free Beauty Box – 12 days of Christmas Calendar! I’m glad I’m finally getting around to using so up so many of my products.
This is a powerful clay mask that is ideal for oily/combination skin. This is my skin type so I was really looking forward to giving this a try. It’s made from just 5 ingredients.
The Green Clay helps bind with impurities and soaks up excess oil to deeply cleanse pores. 3 of the key ingredients are:
Green Clay – this powerful active clay works hard to draw out toxins and soak up excess oil and also helps to stimulate cell regeneration to leave skin looking clearer and brighter.
Matcha Green Tea – This is packed full of antioxidants, which are essential for healthy skin, matcha helps to protect against free radicals for more youthful and healthy skin.
Lemon Essential Oil – This is a brightening astringent oil that helps to prevent breakouts and impurities.
I have to say I’ve become quite fond of clay masks especially in powder form that you have to mix yourself. I love to use a nice floral water like rose to mix up with these but this time i used just a couple of drops of tap water.
I found this really easy to mix up into a paste and apply to the skin. it doesn’t feel tight as it dries but you can definitely tell it’s doing it’s job and getting to work. I love popping these masks on while I’m in the bath after the hot steam has had chance to open my pores.
I found it really easy to remove too. This was the first time I’ve tried this and I really liked it. It definitely made a slight difference to my skin and it felt really fresh and clean. I will definitely buy this again as I’d like to see the difference it makes after using it for a few weeks.
A full sized jar of this costs £22 which is great for a natural clay mask especially if it does what I’m hoping it’ll do. This is something I would purchase to try out as it’s definitely ideal for my skin type.
Have you heard of this brand?? Have you tried the mask out?? What did you think??
Lots of Love
